A GREAT START FOR MY 33RD YEAR "RUNNING SAN ANTONIO", THE FIRST,TRAINING SESSIONS FOR 2013. OUR NUMBERS DOUBLING EVERY WEEK! EVERYONE ENJOYED THE FOUR DIFFERENT BEERS: TECATE LIGHT, SHINER BOCK, DOS EQUIS, AND LONE STAR BOCK !! AWESOME ! NICE ! DO IT AGAIN! WERE SOME OF THE COMMENTS MAKE BY THOSE IN ATTENDANCE .

Yes, I'm taking the guess work out of being ready for the Half Marathon - Rock-N-Roll on, 10 November 2013.
Purnell Racing is hosting a race series with ELEVEN RACES to help you get ready and have fun at the same time. BROUGHT TO YOU BY "SHINER BEERS", Athletes Foot, Purnellracing.com, The Run-A-Way Running Club, FCA, Joseph's Bakery, Waddell & Reed Financial Advisers.
The total rewards for this series will be worth over FIFTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS IN 2013. cash prize of $500.00 for The Best of Texas Race Series overall winner.
-A cash prize of $350.00 for the second place winner overall, and a cash prize of $250.00 for the third place winner overall in the series, $200.00 for fourth, $150.00 for fifth, $50. for sixth place = $1,500.00
ALL THE BEST OF TEXAS RACE SERIES AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN OUT ON 14 December 2013 at the 28th Annual Toys for Tot's 5kÂ
POINTS AWARDED ACCORDINGLY :
5 points for attendance,
5 points for winning overall,
3 points for first in age group,
2 points for second in age group,
1 point for third in age group,
6 points for volunteering, (no other points awarded at that race)
2 points for USA Track & Field members once.
At each race we have door Prizes at all races for registered athletes.
Examples: TWO - one night stays at a downtown Hotel.
Four $25.00 cash door prizes at each race.
$50.00 certificate to a one of San Antonio's best restaurants at each race from our "Shiner Beers" sponsor!
Four Gift certificates valued at $25. at each race from "Athletes Foot."
A tour of the Shiner Brewery, in Shiner Texas for 6 athletes.
Bonus points when warranted at these and other races hosted by Purnell Racing. An example : 3rd Annual Tunnel to Towers Race all registered athletes will receive 5 points for attending.

# 5 - 25 May 2013, 12th Annual "Police Officers & Fire Fighters Memorial 5/10k Races" 0830 (Go to active.com ref: # 2086815) McAllister Park - San Antonio's largest park with beautiful trails - open to all who support our Fire Fighter and Police Officers who have given it all for us! This race Honors two of my Heroes, men I was honored to coach: Patrolman John Anthony "Rocky" Riojas & Patrolman Hector Garza. Both of these heroes gave their lives protecting San Antonio Texas. God Bless then and their families.
