Join us for your Half & Full Marathon training this year:
    Sunday morning's at 8:00am, "VFW Post 76 on the River walk".
VFW post 76 is located a little over 2 miles on the RNR course so
we run the RNR course for practice so when the event gets here
we know the course.

RWB, Run-A-Way Club and the general public meets at Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) #76 on the Riverwalk,
Ten 10th street and Avenue B. three times each week.

John Purnell of the Run-A-Way Running Club that was established (1980) Conducts free training on every Sunday at 8:00a.m, on Monday & Wednesday starting at 6:30p.m.-7:30 VFW 76 River walk and Thursdays at 6:30pm from Big Papas Pizza on Schertz Parkway, Schertz Texas: Open to walkers, joggers, runners, and bikers understand that everyone has different schedules and financial capabilities so Purnell Racing offers four FREE "Group Marathon" training sessions weekly.

We meet on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:30pm to walk & run from VFW 76 on the River walk and everyone is welcome - join us, it's free!

Special Note: Reflective gear is always highly encouraged for not just vehicular traffic but foot traffic as well!!!

23 January 2016 Selma-Schertz "Salute to Service Members" 5k at Blue
Bonnet Palace, 17630 Lookout Road, Selma, TX 78154. This event will have
over 600 athletes to salute "Operation Comfort" service members again as our Heroes from around the world protecting this country. Join us and bring an American Flag to carry in the 5k or one mile walk. Register and can pick up packet race day at 7:30 am.

Kids run- 8:30 am
Adult run- 9 am

4 February 2016. SAPS 5K Fun Run. Starting at 6 a.m.
6 February 2016. AIDS Foundation Run.  7am. (Clock rental only)

30 April 2016. "ONS Foundation and the Fun Run/Walk & Wheelchair." Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center at 6:30 a.m.

7 May 2016. SCORE Shooting and Obstacle Run for Lone Star Handgun. Starting at 9:00 a.m.

First registered, first to shoot. 500 participants max. 125 shoot per hour. Lonestar will provide suppressors, handguns and ammo. 1 door prize of Springfield Armory XD 9mm with custom US Flag Cerakoat. Register and pick up day of but you will be last to shoot.

 Texas A&M University - San Antonio, One university Way, Saturday, Sept 11 @
8 AM will host San Antonio's 9/11 Heroes 5k race. The 9/11 Heroes Run is a 5k race series held each year around September 11th that welcome participants of all ages and skill levels. The races activate communities across the country to honor the sacrifice of the heroes of 9/11 and the  wars fought since and also benefit them directly.
   A large portion of fund raised through the 9/11 Heroes Run are invested back into the
race communities to support local veterans, first responders, troops, and military families.

 Fees are $25. early registration $30. late   Event Starts @ 0800 start  from Drury Inn, 1604 & I 10, Howard Peak Trail Head. This course is a great test to see if you can maintain your desired pace for this years San Antonio's Rock-N-Roll Half Marathon. 
    -Proceeds go to support our Troops, Troop #259 B.S. of America and San Antonio's Young Marines
